Through Happiness and Sarcasm

I'm a germano-italian born in Switzerland in 1980, living actually in France (plus a Polnish grandmother somewhere). Which means I can speak Italian, German, French and the language I'm using at writing right now. People who really need to categorize me get easily confused by this. So normally I let them give me the nationality they want. I don't mind. The difference is as virtual as Super Mario. Although "sentient living being" is at least what I prefer to be considered.

Talking about life... I'm a freelance illustrator and graphist. Indeed. For a living I do pictures and nifty illustrations that will be forgotten after five years at best. And I love it !

What I mostly know about my profession was taught to me in the Pivaut's Art School in Nantes; I took a specialization for making comics. And after three years from 2002 then I got my certificate. And here I am... Released into the wild and ferocious yet delightful World of Art where everyone try to find his way into the State of Glory or simple Recognition. Where Expression is the soul of everything. Great adventures straight ahead, I say.

I love the traditional mediums like inking, painting, and scribbling. But ironically I'm better with painting and graphical softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, 3D Studio Max, After effect, and many others. My opinion is because it was more easy, but also acrylic or oil painting is expensive (and no Ctrl+Z function in the bundle. What a hack !). Nonetheless I'm still trying to put into numeric painting a traditional feel. Also I hate the Photoshopesque artificial cold flavour I see in many works today when it's not well managed.

Although being raised to be a comic artist I'm actually working for the video game industry. I've already worked as an illustrator for an educational software for children and as a graphist (mainly for creating the backgrounds) for an adventure game developed by Wizarbox called "So Blonde" written by Steve Ince.

But fear not (or do fear) ! One day I will publish a comic from the bunch of projects I have there at my side. Technically on dead trees. Video game is only a phase. Not only I love to draw and paint, but I also love to write stories.
